Frank G. Lewis

1930 ~ 2014

Frank G. Lewis, 83, returned home after a life full of service and love for his fellowman. He was born on Nov. 5, 1930 in Milford, Utah to Ben Lewis Jr. and LaPrele Goodwin Lewis.

Frank served as Studentbody President at Milford High School. He then served in the Air Force, returning home to run the farm in Milford. There he was introduced to his eternal companion, Janice Hoskin. They were married June 29, 1956 in the Logan Temple.

Frank served in many different capacities, aiding neighbors and friends in need. He was an active member of the LDS Church and served in various callings. He and Janice especially enjoyed serving as ordinance workers in the Jordan River Temple. Frank was active in civic and community service. He served on the Board of the Eastside Unincorporated Division of Salt Lake County, later annexed into the City of Cottonwood Heights.

He was owner of Lewis Sales for 20 years, where he excelled in providing superior service and genuine concern for each customer. His business slogan was "We treat ya better than your own Mom."

Frank was a devoted husband, father and grandfather who enjoyed being with his family. He rarely missed a family function.

Survived by his wife Janice and their five children; Cindy (John) Casper, Hal (Lori) Lewis, Dale (Karen) Lewis, Karen Swenson and Stacey Teixeira; also including a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren; brother: Stanley (Donna) Lewis and many nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Chloe, Barbara and Helen Carol Lewis and son-in-law, Ivan Teixeira.

Services will be Saturday, July 19 at the Cottonwood 8th Ward, 6301 South 2300 East, with viewings at the church Friday 6-8pm and Saturday 10:30-11:30am. Interment will be at Larkin Sunset Gardens, 10600 S. 1950 East, Sandy, Utah.
