Jadene Reid Cherry, our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister and friend was born on June 25, 1950 to William G. and Rowene Hatch Reid. She went to be with the Lord on December 2, 2014 after a valiant 7 year battle with failing health and illness.
Jadene first worked at Mountain Bell for many years and then held a career of 25 years with American Express which was one of her most valued accomplishments. With an early retirement, her fight for life was courageous and heroic to many of her loved ones. She was a selfless and caring woman who always put others needs before her own even in spite of her illness. She was a faithful member of the LDS Church, loved poetry and her family was her most prized gift in life.
She is survived by her devoted husband of 38 years, Jay A. Cherry, 3 cherished children James (Tina) Cherry, Kellie (Phil) Alires and Allen (Angela) Cherry, 10 treasured grandchildren Justin (Jessica) Bland, Ben (Andrea) Cherry, Jessliyn (Beau) Baker, Brooke, April, Sarah, Corban and Logan Cherry, Triniti and Marlie Alires, 3 great grandchildren Keltson Cherry, Wesley and Kaylee Baker, mother Rowene Reid, sister Diane (Jay) Alexander, brother George (Jody) Reid and many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her father.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, December 6, 2014 at Larkin Sunset Gardens, 1950 East Dimple Dell Road (10600 South) in Sandy. A visitation will be held Friday evening from 6-8 pm and one hour prior to the services. Online condolences welcomed at www.larkincares.com.
