Surrounded by his loved ones, John, our beloved husband, father and grandfather went to Heaven to be with Jesus on Sunday, March 22, 2015. John was passionate about many things in life; cooking, fishing, traveling, teaching, gardening, and spending time with his grandchildren. We will remember John for his sense of humor, his outgoing personality and dedication to his family.
Thank you to the amazing, compassionate doctors and staff at IHC Heart ICU for treating him with such love and care. Special thanks to Dr. Cline, Dr. Clark, Dr. Bennett and Lynn for getting us through difficult times.
John is survived by his wife Gail Hammel, daughters: Jenny Gettelman and Heather Sullivan, grandchildren: JJ, Nick, Giselle, Sophie.
