Orpha LaFrance York Hunter, age 94, passed away peacefully at home on June 1, 2015. Born September 3, 1920 to Blaine D. York and Bessie Abiah Hayes in Spanish Fork, Utah. She married Oscar Murdoch Hunter March 6, 1940 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.
Survived by her children Suzanne Searby, Las Vegas, NV; Edward Oscar Hunter, Laguna Woods, CA; Robert Blaine Hunter, Denver, CO and Rosemary Hunter, Salt Lake City, UT, eight grandchildren, and 12 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by her parents, husband, Oscar, and daughter Elizabeth Hunter Blyle.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 6 at 1:00 pm at the Highland Park Ward, 2535 So. Douglas St., where a visitation will be held one hour prior to the services. Interment in the Salt Lake City Cemetery.
