Gisela was born July 19, 1943 in Boizenburg, Hamburg, Germany. She returned to her Father in heaven on March 20, 2014. She fought a 17 year battle with cancer with courage, faith and honor. Gisela is a true example to her family and friends of what a strong testimony of the gospel should be in this life.
She met the love of her life, John Bingham, at granite high school. John and Gisela were married November 25, 1960 in Salt Lake City. They were sealed in the Salt Lake Temple on March 5, 1968.
Gisela was preceded in death by her father Martin, mother Frieda and brother, Werner.
She enjoyed gardening, the annual trek to midway for swiss days and making her home a peaceful, loving place where she enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Gisela is survived by her husband, John, 7 children and 23 grandchildren. Children and grandchildren, Kerri, John (wife Rachel, Ella, Oliver, Eliza, Oscar), Suzanne Wallace (husband Rich, Kelsey, Kourtney, McKenna), Brian (wife Tavi, Morgan, McKayla, Ally, Joshua), Michael (wife Ann, Trevor, Tyson, Carter, Derrick), Chrystie Barker (husband Andy, Isabel, Kevin, Maggie, Jackson), Trisha Davis (husband Chris, Colton, Sydnee, Haylee, Oaklee).
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, March 25, 2014 at the Millcreek 8th Ward, 4605 South 600 East. Visitations will be on Monday, March 24 from 6-8:00 p.m. and also one hour prior to services on Tuesday, all held at the ward. Interment to follow at Larkin Sunset Gardens, 1950 E. Dimple Dell Rd.
