Bruce David Forbes was born on February 23,1967 to Allen Robey and LaRae (King) Forbes in American Fork, Utah. Bruce returned to his Heavenly Father at the age of 50, on November 14, 2017, in West Jordan, Utah.
Bruce was the youngest of six children and a brother to his twin sister, Barbara. He grew up in American Fork, Utah, where he spent his childhood riding dirt bikes, spending time with the family dog Shorty, and listening to Rush, Pink Floyd, and pretty much any other eighties rock bands.
Bruce met the love of his life, JoEllen Fryer, at the young age of fifteen. They went on to be sealed for time and all eternity in the Salt Lake Temple on September 25,1987. Bruce graduated from trade school, where he earned a degree in electrical automation. They built a home and life in Lehi, Utah, where the couple and their children have spent the last eighteen years. Bruce and JoEllen had four children, Matt (Skyler), Lyndsey, Kayli, and Aubrey. They were blessed with two beautiful grandbabies, Finley and Landon, which Bruce loved beyond any words he could express. Bruce had a love of helping anyone, especially his children and parents. He loved running, gardening, boating, and just being outdoors.
Bruce is survived by his wife, JoEllen Fryer Forbes, his children; Matt (Skyler), Lyndsey, Kayli, and Aubrey. His parents, Allen Robey Forbes and LaRae King Forbes. His siblings, Scott, Connie (Jeff Davis), Janis (Jim Salisbury), Barbara (Roger Pack) and countless other family members and close friends. Bruce was preceded in death by his brother Mark Forbes, grandparents, Arthur Robey and Martha Forbes and Robert and Emeline King.
There will be a viewing held in Bruce's honor on Sunday, November 19th from 6-8 p.m. in the LDS chapel located at 3180 N 300 W in Lehi, Utah. On Monday, November 20th there will be a viewing from 9:30-10:45 a.m. prior to funeral services, which will begin at 11:00 a.m. in the same building.
