Carley Rae Budd Meredith

1930 ~ 2019

Our beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend passed away peacefully on November 17, 2019.

She was born on May 16, 1930 in Berkley, California to Douglas F. Budd and Charlotte E. Hillstead.

She liked to sew, make quilts, and do crafts including tole painting, oil painting and ceramics. She enjoyed swimming, golfing and camping. She was happiest surrounded by family. Genealogy was a passion of hers, publishing a family history book about her own ancestors. She has participated and been a leader in the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers. She served in every auxiliary of the church in multiple presidencies. She served over 30 years in the primary on both the ward and stake level. She faithfully attended the Temple her whole life. Carley volunteered for many years doing eye screening for children. She leaves us a long legacy of service.

Carley is preceded in death by her husband, Sherbyn H. Meredith, and is survived by their children Brent (Stacie) Meredith, Karen (Brad) Perry, Kathy (Walter) Banks and DeAnne Zelenkov, 18 grandchildren, and 41 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Saturday November 23 at the Foothill 6th Ward (2215 Roosevelt Ave) at 11 AM. A viewing will precede the services at 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM.
