Debra Maureen Watts, our angel sister, passed away Sunday, May 11, 2014, of causes incident to Down syndrome. She undoubtedly spent Mother\s Day in the arms of her mother, Juel Webb Watts, as well as her father, Carter F. Watts, who preceded her in death. Debra was the darling of her seven brothers and two sisters and their spouses. She kept us in stitches with her lively escapades, and her hugs and kisses were irresistible. Her needs and pleasures were simple: hamburgers from McDonald\s, Twinkies, ketchup and mayonnaise sandwiches, and especially pancakes. After Debra\s mother passed away in 2008, her sister-in-law Renee became her primary caregiver and provided stability and security throughout Debra\s life, even when she moved to a full-time care facility.
Debra is survived by her brothers John (Kristen), Larry (Emily), Roger (Marla), Brad, Stan (Renee), and Jacob, and sisters Linda (Mark) and Julia. Another brother, Kelly (Elke), preceded her in death.
A viewing will be held on Friday May 16, 2014 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Larkin Mortuary, 260 East South Temple, SLC, UT.
