Lela Draper Anderson Nelson, 92, of Holladay, Utah passed away on May 5, 2016. She was born May 17, 1924 in Centerfield, Utah to Margret Ann Elliker and Wilmot Leigh Draper. She married Doyle Merrill Anderson on July 25, 1942, later solemnized in the Manti Temple. Doyle died March 15, 1978. Married Ronald P. Nelson, died January 12, 2005.
Lela was a member of the LDS church. She spent the early years of her life in the Centerfield area of Sanpete County. After her marriage to Doyle, she spent 3 years as a military wife following him around the U.S. Many years of their lives were spent in the East Millcreek Stake. She worked in merchandise distribution at ZCMI for many years and was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
She is survived by her sons; Kelly (Virginia), Rick (Eileen), Ty (Jeanie), and Shad: 17 grandchildren: 42 great-grandchildren and many beloved nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by her husbands; Doyle and Ron: siblings; Lotie, Ila, Vermile, Afton, LaBerda, and 2 siblings who died in youth/infancy.
Graveside services will be held Friday, May 13, 2016, at 1:00 p.m. at Larkin Sunset Gardens Cemetery, 1950 East Dimple Dell Rd. (10600 S.). A visitation will be held Friday from 11:00-12:30 at Larkin Sunset Gardens Mortuary.
