Rachael Kay Patton

1979 ~ 2015

Rachael Kay Patton passed away from this life, peacefully in her sleep on November 2nd, 2015 in Tooele, Utah. Rachael was born to Walter Steven and Pamela Faye Clayton Wallis on September 15th, 1979 in Salt Lake City, Utah. She was born with a smile on her face and was a happy joyful child. She began school early and was the youngest person in her graduation class from Hunter High School in 1997. Rachael loved color. Something as simple as a box of crayons would put a bright smile on her face. She loved the delicate, pretty things in life. Her genuine laughter delighted both friends and strangers. She loved to laugh. She loved her dogs, her "fur babies" and adored being an aunt to all her nieces and nephews. She was a proud Aggie and often spoke of her days at Utah State where she received her degree in psychology. She married the love of her life, Jeffery Jon Patton - her "bunchens" in September of 2007 in Big Cottonwood Canyon and they began a wondrous life together.

She is survived by her husband Jeff Patton; her parents Steve and Pam Wallis; her brothers Danny Wallis (Ann) and David Wallis; her sister Becca Ketchum (Jeremy); her grandparents Kathy Clayton, Kay Wallis; her great-grandmother Connie Wallis; her niece Alex Wallis and nephews Harbor and Tannon Ketchum; her parents-in-law Randy and Colleen Blake; her brother-in-law Andrew Patton; her sisters-in-law April Lyke (Chris) and Brandi Lopez (Johnny); her grandmother-in-law Evelyn Blake. Preceded in death by her grandparents Art Clayton and Tom Wallis and her uncle-in-law Larry Sullivan.

Funeral services will be held Friday, November 6, 2015 at 12 Noon in the Riverton Larkin Mortuary Chapel, 3688 West 12600 South, Riverton, UT, where a viewing will be held Friday 10:00-11:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers, we ask that donations be made in Rachael's name at any local women's crisis shelter.
