Barbara Pearl Williams Mason, the matriarch and cornerstone of our family, left us Friday, June 2, 2017. She faced cancer like she did all things in life, with great strength and dignity.
Mom was born July 29,1928, the last to survive ten children born of Pearl and B righam Williams. She graduated from West High in 1946. She married Howard Dickinson and gave birth to her daughter Barbara Jean. After her divorce, she later met and married Ferral D. Mason in 1953, and they had another daughter, Lori. Mom's career was in banking; moving up from mailroom to Vice President at American Savings and Loan. Upon retirement, she enjoyed bowling and volunteer work. She volunteered at Lincoln Elementary School 5 days a week for over 20 years. She was awarded the President\s Call to Service Award.Her example of kindness, strength, generosity and above all else, love, will continue to guide her family for generations.
Mom was preceded in death by Ferral, and her nine siblings.She is survived by her daughters Barbara Jean LaPointe (Russell) and Lori Mason Banks (Alan), and grandchildren, Glenn (Melanie), Leslie (Casey), Marti (Ben) and Mason (Julie). Her great grandchildren Elowyn , Adrienne, Kendra, Madison, Parker, Emma, Katie and Samantha Pearl.
Viewing and Graveside services will be held Saturday June 10. Viewing 11:00 a.m. at Larkin Mortuary 260 East, South Temple. Private graveside services 12:30 p.m. at Wasatch Lawn, 3400 S.
