Sipuao Josephine Matuauto

1942 ~ 2016

Born: May 15, 1942 In Tapuele'ele, Savaii, Western Samoa to Fa'aoso Matuauto and Sosefina Te'o. She was the youngest of 13 children who all preceded her in death. She received an Associate's Degree from CCWS and then left her home country to receive a Bachelor's Degree from what is now known as BYU of Hawaii. She then left Hawaii and came to Utah. She served three full time missions for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, first to Texas, then on to be the Secretary to the President of the Samoan Temple and her last mission was served in Perth, Australia. She loved the gospel of Jesus Christ and lived it daily, she was very knowledgeable and studied daily. She worked for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints most of her adult life, she held jobs such as the Secretary to the Brethren and many years in the Missionary Department, and also sang in the Tabernacle Choir for a few years. She left this life on September 1, 2016 to the open arms of many loved ones including her mother and father whom she loved dearly. She left behind many nieces, and nephews (too many to number) whom she loved. Rest in Love and Peace Auntie.
