James Denis Kroll passed away peacefully on Monday, October 24, 2016. Denis was born in Salt Lake City on March 24, 1946, to Ada Fern (McCann) and Afton James Kroll. He dearly loved his sister, Judy Giles (Larry), and his brother, Gary (Debbie Rathbun).
Denis was happily married to his sweetheart, Sheila Schow. Together they raised four wonderful sons, Darron (Carla Johnson), Jeremy (Jen Jenkins), Brandon (Eliza Ballstaedt), and Jason (Kristen Bailey). One of his greatest joys in life was his family, including his 16 grandchildren.
Denis was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He was a hard worker and supported his family practicing law. He was fascinated with the Native American Culture and learned all he could about it. Denis loved spending time in the great outdoors, especially with his boys.
Close family and friends are invited to attend a viewing on Thursday, October 27, at 10:00 am, followed by a graveside funeral service at 11:00 am. The viewing and funeral will be held at Larkin Sunset Gardens, 1950 E. Dimple Dell Road (10600 S.), Sandy, Utah, 84092.
