Nathan Andrew Miller

1973 ~ 2020

Nathan Andrew Miller, our beloved husband, father, son, brother, uncle, grandfather, and friend passed away unexpectedly on January 14, 2020 in West Valley City, Utah, the day after his 47th birthday.

Nathan was born January 13, 1973 to Deloris and Gregory Miller in Salt Lake City, Utah, the second of seven children. As a child he was very reserved and thoughtful—the peacemaker of the Miller clan. He attended Spanish Fork High School, Class of 1991.

His interests were wide and varied. He loved fishing. He found much solace being out in nature or simply going for a walk. His preferred music choice was 80's rock, and he collected movies and especially liked sci-fi movies. Nathan loved even the smallest of creatures, from rescuing kittens to caring for his pet fish, he had a tender soul, he was a big softie.

Nathan loved to write. He was a poet, and he loved handwriting letters. He was a consistent journal writer, something his children and grandchildren will appreciate even more now.

Nathan was the father to six beautiful daughters and was richly blessed with four amazing stepchildren and four adorable grandchildren. His dedication and care for all of them was remarkable. He admired, loved and respected each child. He believed in and supported their dreams. Not a day passed without him expressing his love and support and pride that he had for them.

Nathan was a rock on whom his family could rely. He was responsible and hard-working. He was a good listener. Always slow to anger, Nathan was a genuinely positive person who faced setbacks and challenges with resolve and steadfastness. He gave good advice and had a shoulder you could lean on. As wise and reliable as Nathan was, he was also just a goofy kid at heart, we will always love him for that. He had the loudest most contagious laugh. He made everyone feel welcomed and loved and had the warmest bear hugs in the world.

Nathan was a truck driver by trade. He loved being a trucker. In his lifetime, he delivered goods across the entire country, and found meaning and great satisfaction in knowing that his direct efforts affected so many people every day. His continued education transcended the traditional classroom. He taught himself guitar, computer science, coding, art and photography.

In 2017 Nathan married the love of his life, Jennifer. They were best friends. Anyone who knew them could plainly see that they were a perfect match. He thoroughly adored her. She loved him so much and could always be seen laughing adoringly at his quirky humor. They never had even one quarrel. They healed each other in many ways. It meant the world to Nathan to have someone who believed in him and his dreams.

Nathan is survived by his mother, Deloris Miller; father, Gregory Miller; wife, Jennifer Miller; 10 children and step children, (children of Tammy Mouton) Tiffany Hernandez (Michael), Natalie Sudweeks (Brek), Whitney Vickery (Tyler), Joy Miller, (children of Emily Miller) Braiden Muir, Chloe Miller, Kaitlyn Miller, (children of Jennifer Miller) AJ Chubak, Anna Chubak, Abigaile Chubak; 4 Grandchildren, Saylor Sudweeks, Allysse Vickery, Bella Sudweeks, Jaykob Vickery; 3 brothers, David Miller (Jesse), Aaron Miller, Jeremy Miller; 3 sisters, Dorianna Montoya (Raul), Elizabeth Miller (Blair), Christina Miller.
