Brenda Johnson Gold

1967 ~ 2015

Brenda Johnson Gold passed away on the 20th of November, 2015 in South Jordan, Utah. Brenda was born on January 27, 1967 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Robyn Sommers Broughton and David Rothwell Johnson. Brenda is the mother of three children, Brycen Gold (Chelsea), Kailey Gold, and Taylor Gold (Cassidy), and grandmother to two grandchildren (Brynlee Gold and Aria Gold).

Brenda enjoyed a life filled with a special sense of humor, service, and care for others, especially her family members. She was a living example of her favorite phrase, "Family First," and always made sure to tell her family members that she loved them. Brenda loved the outdoors, including fishing, camping, and hiking. She was also a passionate scrap-booker and family photographer. Her children grew up playing sports and Brenda was often heard shouting at games, "That's my boy/girl!"

Few things brought more joy to Brenda's life than quality family time around the holidays. She regularly sacrificed time and money to make sure that her family was together on Thanksgiving and/or Christmas every year.

Survived by her parents; Robyn and David, stepfather; Don Broughton, sister; Camie Grande, her three children, two daughters in-law, her two grandchildren, her niece; Jourdyn, her grandmother; Donna Sommers, and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

A viewing (10 AM) and a graveside service (11 AM) will be held on Wednesday, November 25, 2015 at Larkin Sunset Gardens in Sandy, Utah (1950 East 10600 South). A special thanks to her family, whom she held most dear, for organizing these services, as well as caring staff at Intermountain Medical Center and Cascades at Riverwalk. We all "love you to the moon and back!"
