Janet Martindale Taylor passed away gently in the arms of her loving family 29 July 2017. Born 11 May 1928 in Billings, Montana to Rex and Ester Martindale. Married Harold Ray Taylor 22 March 1946 in Salt Lake City where they started an eternal family of 6 beautiful children.
Jan graduated from South High. After raising her family she went on to attend the University of Utah. She graduated in 1973 with a B.S. in Elementary Education and received her Master of Education at the age of 62. She taught at J.E. Cosgriff Memorial Catholic School, Park City Elementary, and many Granite District Schools in the Salt Lake Valley. Jan was a life-long learner with a passion for teaching, lively conversation and collecting. She was also a master gardener and rock hound. A member of the LDS Church, she enjoyed the company of her senior singles group and loved to participate in their many activities.
She is survived by her children Marty Taylor (Jackie), Bryan Taylor (Pam), Denise Barrow (Tim), Kim Taylor (Kelli), Terry Taylor (Joyce), and Nan Nicponski (Steve).
Funeral services will be held at Noon on Wednesday August 2nd. A viewing will be held that same day at 10:00 am. Services will be held at the Grandeur Peak Ward Chapel, 3640 East Millstream Dr. Interment Wasatch Lawn.
