Carl Leonard Molis

1921 ~ 2019


Carl Leonard Molis passed away February 24, 2019. He was born in Deluth, MN on December 3, 1921 to Eli Molis and Anna Karlsdotter. He was married to Agnes Viola Debry on December 25, 1942 in Salt Lake City, UT and later sealed in the Oakland Temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Together, they had 3 sons; Ted, Scott, and Greg. He was happily the grandfather of 14 and great-grandfather of 25.

Carl served in the Air Force for 23 years and retired as a Chief Master Sergeant. He was a line chief and crew chief on B-17, B-29, and B-52 aircraft during two wars. He later served for 11 years as a Civilian in the same capacity. He was 8 days removed from Pearl Harbor on a troop ship headed to Australia when Pearl was attacked. He later received the Bronze Star in the Korean War. He loved fishing, travel, hunting, the great outdoors, and loved attending Cowboy Poetry. He was true to his family, friends, country and his God. To meet Carl was like finding a new friend, he loved everyone.

Graveside Services will be held at 1:00 pm on Thursday, February 28, 2019 at Larkin Sunset Gardens, 1950 E. Dimple Dell Road (10600 S.) Visitation will be held one hour before the service.
