Patricia Goates Wilkins was born on July 6, 1935 in Salt Lake City, Utah. She was the second of two children born to Donald William and Theora Sudweeks Goates. Graduated from West High School and attended the University of Utah. She married Steven Austin Wilkins on May 24, 1958, later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple. Pat went to work for Standard Supply Company in 1956 where she remained for the next 62 years, retiring at the age of 82, she was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints where her callings included, young women's president, relief society secretary and primary secretary. Mom was an avid reader and enjoyed book club. She loved traveling to Lake Powell and yearly trips to Mexico including Cabo San Lucas, Puerto Vallarta and Cancun.
Pat is survived by her sons, William Casey and Steven Kelly Wilkins. Sisters in law, JoAnn Wilkins Penrose and Judith Wilkins as well as many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her parents, infant brother and her husband, Steven A. Wilkins.
The family would like to thank Angela Penrose Black and JoAnn Penrose for their around the clock care of mom. Also the staff at Utah Cancer Specialists, Rocky Mountain Hospice and Kali with Beehive Senior Care for their loving care of mom.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, January 28, 2019, 11:00 am, at the Little Cottonwood 5th Ward, 6350 south Rodeo Lane, Salt Lake City, UT. Viewings will be Sunday, January 27, 2019 from 6:00 ‚ 8:00 pm at Larkin Sunset Gardens, 1950 East 10600 South, Sandy UT and from 9:30 ‚ 10:45 Monday at the Church.
