\"Cowboy\" Corbin Riley Crusan

2007 ~ 2018

"Cowboy" Corbin Riley Crusan gained his running shoes on August 16, 2018!!!

"Cowboy" Corbin was a miracle from the beginning as he was not expected to live past the first day but lived an amazing 4,271 days full of love, laughter and a tangible spirit straight from God.

"Cowboy" Corbin was a connoisseur of fine chocolate‚Ķ okay let's be real! ANY chocolate would do! But while on the subject of food, Corbin also loved oysters on the Ω shell, tuna fish, Texas BBQ and blue cheese.

"Cowboy" Corbin was a Star Wars aficionado. He was blind so he loved all the fun sounds. Meeting Chewy last year at Disneyland was the highlight of his existence.

"Cowboy" Corbin was a chicken rancher here in Utah and was in the process of training his prize chicken, Princess Leah for the county fair.

Halloween was always the highlight of "Cowboy" Corbin's year. His brothers would come up with a theme and build his wheelchair into a costume that would be the talk of school and the neighborhood for months leading up to the big reveal. Corbin loved the attention and people calling his name and telling him how much fun it was to see him in his costume. Both Taylor and Ashton would dress up to match. Some years past were, Star Wars, Batman, Rick and Morty and Top Gun. Our wonderful friends and neighbors helped with a last Halloween party in Corbin's honor a week before "Cowboy" Corbin passed that was the most fitting and lovely send off anyone has ever seen! Thanks to all who helped. (See KSL5 footage of the news story).

Corbin was a deeply respected ‘Little Demented' of the "Demented Minds" motorcycle club where each member knew him personally and loved him deeply.

"Cowboy" Corbin was a member of the LDS church and attended regularly with his Grand Dad who would hold his hand proudly and call him "Tiger Tails."

"Cowboy" Corbin attended Hartgivsen School where he was adored by all. His sweetheart, Edna (another student in his class) would dote on him blowing kisses and demanding his wheelchair arm for her to hold on to while she walked beside him. He was given many awards from school including, "Best Shoes", "Best Recovery", "Best Disguise" and "Best Snuggler." Special thanks to his teacher, Jody for her endless support- We love you, friend.

"Cowboy" Corbin had HUNDREDS of nicknames! Most recently he visited Dallas Texas where he was adoringly welcomed by thick Southern Accents (which he LOVED), BBQ and Gulf Oysters at SandD Oyster Company. He then proclaimed his name hence forward as "Cowboy" Corbin.

"Cowboy" Corbin was so special while on earth and taught so many people things. His patient nature was soothing to his caregivers and a gift Corbin shared with us lovingly. For one who couldn't speak- his roar was deafening.

"Cowboy" Corbin was received in heaven by his beloved Nan whom he deeply loved and is currently mastering his surfing skills- Look him up in heaven catching a wave with his blonde curls and abundant freckles.

"Cowboy" Corbin's superheroes left on earth are his Moms; Cindy Thorpe (Shelly Ainsworth), his beloved brothers who made Halloween his favorite holiday; Taylor and Ashton Thorpe, his adopted sister, Emily (Gus) and nephew, Zayden; his Grand Dad, Richard Birrell; his father Chad (Jen); Uncles, Ken (Melinda) and Doug Birrell, his Auntie Kat who always provided "smashed tatoes" and midnight motorcycle rides. He leaves an empty spot with his friends, Blake, Tin and Poopie along with Brayden, Daddy Dino and Momma Kara and an endless fan club at Hartvigsen School (especially his beloved teacher of 6 years, Jody), Shriners Hospital and PCMC.
