Brent Davis

1951 ~ 2017

Lloyd Brent Davis, loving husband, brother and uncle passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 7, 2017, with his wife at his side from End Stage Renal Failure. Brent was born in Salt Lake City to Lloyd Barton and Donna Vee Peterson Davis. He was the second of four children. Brent graduated from Olympus High School and the University of Utah. He served a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Guatemala/El Salvador. He loved his mission and cherished the memories and friendships that he gained and maintained through the years. He married the girl of his dreams, LuRhea Wilde, on November 27, 2002, in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.

He was a member of the LDS Church and served in many callings throughout his life. He loved to serve and would do anything he could for anyone. The hardest challenge he faced was accepting service from others when he became disabled. He loved family history Indexing and considered it his full time job when he couldn't work any longer.

He loved U of U sports, history, spending as much time as he could at the family cabin, doing crafts and ceramics with his wife, attending the Temple with friends, and spending time with all his friends that he considered family at Brighton and in his fraternity which was the Phi Sigma Chapter of Signa Gamma Chi and loved being with his wife and always wanted her with him even to the end.

Brent is survived by his wife LuRhea; sisters Adele Davis Allen, Ann Fitzgerald (Joel); brothers-in-law Todd Wilde (Diane), Vern Wilde (Vicki); 14 Nieces and Nephews and 16 great nieces and nephews.

We would like to thank Holli and Kay and everyone else at the Intermountain Medical Dialysis Services, Landmark Hospital and all of his doctors for all of their compassionate service over the years.

Services will be held Friday, October 13, 2017 at 11:00 am at the Brighton Branch (8171 S Brighton Loop Rd, Brighton, UT 84121). Viewings will be held Thursday from 6-8 pm at Larkin Mortuary (260 E. South Temple, SLC) and one hour prior to services at the Branch. Interment at Salt Lake City Cemetery.
