Jeanette Crawford Turnbow

1953 ~ 2017

On November 25th, 2017 Jeanette Crawford Turnbow, unexpectedly passed from mortality to re-join her parents in heaven.

Jeanette lived a full adventurous life. She was born on January 13, 1953 to Don and Wanda Crawford. She married in 1975, and had 4 beautiful children. She had a great love for her family and they were always her top priority.

Jeanette had a love for learning. She graduated from Olympus High School where she always excelled as a student and was awarded the Family and Consumer Sciences Sterling Scholar. Jeanette was also editor of the year book, which she really enjoyed. After high school she attended Utah State University and graduated with honors in Family and Consumer Studies. She later returned and received her master\s degree in Public Administration.

Jeanette began her career as a school teacher in Home Economics. She later worked at the Salt Lake County Health Department for many years as a nutritionist. While at the Department of Health she headed the WICC (Women Infant and Children) program. Jeanette was always focused on helping others in the community.

In June of 2005 she married Lynn Turnbow. The two of them enjoyed traveling the world and spending time at their mountain cabin. Jeanette and Lynn loved the outdoors. Their favorite activities were; water skiing, snow skiing, swimming, and tennis. Jeanette was a good athlete and loved teaching others various sports for many years.

Jeanette always had a strong testimony of the church and a love for the gospel. She served in the Cub Scouts, Primary, Young Women's, and Relief Society.

Above all Jeanette loved her wonderful children and grandchildren and was dedicated to their happiness. She is survived by her husband Lynn Turnbow as well as her brother Kent (Farah) Crawford, and her 5 children; Jeff Osguthorpe, John Osguthorpe, Jennifer (Jared) Smith, Julie (Jared) Griffiths, Jamie (Deborah) Turnbow, and her 11 grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, Don and Wanda Crawford, and her stepson Cory Turnbow.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, November 30, 2017 at 11:00 at the Butler West Stake Center, 1845 E 7200 S. Cottonwood Heights. Family and friends may visit from 9:30 to 10:40 at the church prior to the services. Interment Tabiona, Utah.
