Ann Rose Shimizu passed away peacefully at her home on Friday, May 23rd. She was born in Salt Lake City on December 17, 1957, to Blaine and Yvonne Rose. Ann married her high school sweetheart, Dennis, and they have been together ever since. Ann will be remembered for her funny, vivacious, outgoing personality, and her ability to talk to anyone and make them smile, and laugh. Ann\s first love was her family, and no sacrifice was ever too great if it would benefit her children, or grandchildren. Ann was a member of the church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and had a deep love for her Savior and Heavenly Father, and is now home again in His loving arms.
Ann is survived by her husband Dennis, her children Danny (Amber) Shimizu, Melissa Shimizu (Jeff Dent), Melanie Shimizu, her grandchildren; Shelesa, Makayla, Sumio, and Kaci. She is also survived by her siblings, Pam (Jim) Saunders, Sue (Tom ) Galloway, Jim (Carol) Rose, and Jane (Steven) Cane.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, May 28, 2014, at 12:00 at Larkin Mortuary at 260 East South Temple, Salt Lake City, 84111. A viewing will precede the services at 10:30am. Interment will be at the Salt Lake City Cemetery.
