Chun Hop Lui passed away on Saturday, August 13 in Sandy, Utah surrounded by loved ones.
He was born in Canton, China and immigrated to the United States in 1974. He was married to Pei Shao Kuang for 31 years. He was generous, loving, strong, and disciplined. Chun loved his children very much-he always had good intentions and had what was best for everyone in his mind. He had a love for the art of cooking and creating amazing dishes for everyone to enjoy. He fulfilled his passion for cooking by running his own restaurant for the past 22 years. It was important for him to still spend time with his family whether it was a simple home cooked meal with great conversation or going on a family vacation. He accepted everyone with open arms and always made sure they were taken care of. He will be missed more than words can describe.
Survived by his wife Pei Shao Kuang; four children Shawna Louie (Brad), Sonny, Sandy, and Sean. He has four siblings: John Lui (Sue), Wonnar Lui (Shang Nan Liu), Jun Yi Lei (Yong Qiu Huang), and Wanping Lei (Minh Tran). He also has six nephews and one niece. Preceded in death by Shening Lei and Mei Chun Huang.
Services will be held at Larkin Mortuary, 260 E South Temple, in Salt Lake City, Utah on Friday, August 19, 2016, at 12:00 PM. A viewing will be held beginning at 10:00 AM. Interment will be at Salt Lake City Cemetery.
