Chief Master Sargent Marvin Dean Beckstead

Our beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather passed away at home on Monday October 26, 2015. Dean was born April 3, 1940 to Marvin and Beth Beckstead in Murray, UT. He married the love of his life Bonnie June Brown February 7, 1958. He joined the Air National Guard at age 17 and continued a life long career in the Air Guard until he retired April 1994.
He loved all sports and played softball for many years. He was an avid outdoor enthusiast and spent his latter years as a gold prospector.
He is survived by his wife Bonnie, daughters Stacy (Mark) Freemyer, Trudy (Lynn) Holt, son Kent (Debbie) Beckstead and sisters Mary Jo (Gary) Hansen, Carol (Ed) Simpson. He also has 7 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
He will be greatly missed.
Cryptside services will be held at 12:00 noon on Friday, October 30, 2015 at Larkin Sunset Gardens, 1950 East Dimple Dell Road (10600 South) in Sandy. A visitation will be held from 10:30-11:45 prior to the services. Online condolences welcomed at www.larkincares.com
