Our loving Mother, Grandmother and Great-Grandmother passed away on Wednesday February 19, 2014. Dorothy was born August 1, 1928 to Albert and Rena Folta in Wellsville, Missouri. She was the fourth of six children. She married Wayne Johnson in Salt Lake City on February 21, 1948. Wayne preceded her in death in February 2012. She missed him very much and has joined him for their 66th wedding anniversary. Together they raised two children who survive her, Charlene Kettle (Doug) and Wayne Johnson (Mary Susan). She has 14 grandchildren and 33 great-grandchildren. She also is survived by her brothers Harold Folta, Albert Folta and her sister Iva Jean Benskin of Wellsville Missouri. She worked for Westinghouse Corp. and Huish Corp. for over 32 years. She was an avid fisherman. Her favorite fishing hole was in Current Creek. She loved the mountains and enjoyed hunting with her husband. They traveled to many places across the country. Later in her life she took up golfing, going with friends and her grandson. She loved watching sports, football, basketball and golf. She also enjoyed word search puzzles. She loved her family dearly and was so proud of all their accomplishments. She loved their visits and the great grandchildren. The family would like to thank Dr. Grant Hawkins for his excellent care and to the staff of theWentworth Assisted Living Centerfor their kindness and thoughtful care of our mother. Funeral services will be held at 10 am on Wednesday, February 26th at Larkin Sunset Gardens, 1900 E. 10600 S., Sandy, Utah with a viewing held from 930am-10am prior to services.
