Leslie Ray Hunter

1930 ~ 2014

After 83 years of faithful service, Les has now been transferred home to continue his mission, joining his parents, James Austin Hunter and FrancesRatcliffe Fraser, and seven of his nine siblings. He is survived by his eternal sweetheart of 55 years, Marilyn Poulter Hunter \"Mickie;\" and his seven children and their spouses; DonnaRae (Todd), Kathie, Marilee (Andrew), James (Danielle), Sherilyn (Takeshi), Rainee (Byron), and Debbie (Courtney); 28 grandchildren; one great grandson; two siblings; and countless family and friends, who will miss him dearly.

He was a window to heaven, and a man who inspired all with his goodness and service to God, his fellow man, and his country. He was generous to a fault. A native of Grantsville, Utah, he loved sports and dancing; served in the British mission and later in the Manchester, England mission with his wife. He graduated from BYU in Secondary Education, Chemistry and Physics, and did graduate work at the University of Utah. He served his country in the Korean War and was a temple worker in the Draper and Jordan River Temples for 13 years. He traveled the world as an engineer for Sperry for over thirty years.

We thank God for the honor of knowing him. We can truly say of him that he fought a good fight, finished his course, and kept the faith. In his honor, smile more; spread more love and sunshine in the world; go dancing, as he danced through life; and take a good nap.
