Clara Grace Smith Cowan passed away peacefully on May 14 2016 surrounded by her living family. Clara was born November 16 1933 In Glen\s Ferry Idaho to Vilate Jepson and George Hubert Smith. She attended East High School. On January 24 1953 Clara married Elden Drew Cowan. Later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple. Clara was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother and was dearly loved by her family.
She is survived by her husband Elden, two children Stephen Drew Cowan and Karen Dru Shaw (Brehon Shaw), her (5) grandchildren, (13) great grandchildren and (3) great great grandchildren, sister Dorothy Colleen Stevens and brother Hubert Smith. Preceded in death by twin sons Bruce and Brian, parents, sisters Norma Payne and Anita Bell, granddaughter Brieanna Shaw and daughter in law Vicki Cowan.
Services will be held on Saturday May 21 at McKinley Ward, 1883 South West Temple, from 2pm to 4pm. In lieu of flowers, please make a small donation to the Susan G Komen foundation for cancer research or any charity of your choice. Condolences welcomed at www.larkincares.com.
