Charles Mirelez

1956 ~ 2019

Charles "Chico" Mirelez often referred to as "Two Guns". I am not sure that Heaven is ready for you, but God has called you home. Many of us woke up to the news that you had joined your Brothers in heaven, or that place where Sundowners go when the party ends here. Chico you touched so many lives when you were here with us and knowing that we can never talk with you or laugh with you again is really going to be difficult to say the least. Your sense of humor and how you saw the world was your style.

The day you came back to Salt Lake Clubhouse was a very memorable day for many people. This is a day that most will remember forever. That's the day that the man that would make such an impression on everyone would come to Magna. Chico would make friends with everyone that crossed his path… the really dumb ones never stayed long. If Chico liked you, he loved you and you were his friend for life.

Chico loved his Club and all that came with that life and the family that came with the club life. He has many friends from other clubs that are his family and were so important to him. He worried about his friends and family all of the time and would help them whenever he could. Chico married the "love of his life" Patty Nichols at the Salt Lake Clubhouse on October 11,2014. Chico said that was the"Very Best Day of his Life."

Chico loved Patty dearly with his heart and soul and as any man would never say that out loud to anyone but his close family and friends, but we all knew it. Patty was the light of his life and he always said what an amazing woman she was and that he was so lucky that she waited for him when he was away. He always saw her as the one person that would stand by him forever and he was right. Patty was beside him until Chico took his last breath. Patti has devoted herself and was amazing caring for Chico all these months since he became so sick. They had time to talk and discuss and love each other knowing that any day could be his last day. Having to accept that their time together would be cut short. Chico went to sleep that night knowing that the love of his life was beside him to his last moment. Thank you, Patty, for taking care of the man that has meant so much to us and to the Sundowner Nation. Thank you to so many people that have gathered around and been there for the events that meant so much to Chico. Know he loved you.

Chico is survived by his loving wife Patty. Sisters: Romonda (Toots) Maryann, and Melinda. Brothers: Adam, Roberto, Mike and Steve. He loved all his Siblings even though some made it tough. Son Jessie Chico Mirelez. Stepson Dominic Salas, Granddaughter Jan Mirelez. Step ‚ grandchildren Randy, Tommas, Nathan, Kathena, Nia and Amaya. Step Great - Grandson Kayson.

Proceeded in death by his loving Mother Francis, Father Gabriel and his brother Gabriel and Stepson Michael Nichols. Chico also loved his 4- legged family Cannon, Ginger and the Baby Rosie.
