Georgia L. Miller Hawkins, 101, passed away September 24, 2017. She was the daughter of George W. Miller and Veronica "Fannie" Steinman, was born June 23, 1916 in Ridgeville Corners, Ohio. She was preceded in death by her sisters Nellie Knape, Orpha Demaline and Byrde Slentz.
Georgia married James Mead "Jack" Hawkins March 1, 1942. She owned and operated a beauty shop in the 1940's while waiting for Jack to return from England where he was serving as a B-17 pilot during WWII. They lived in the Harvard Terrace area of Toledo and were members of Park Congregational Church since 1949. Jack passed away in 1987.
Georgia is survived by her daughter Barbara (John) Turpin; grandchildren Mike (Alisha) Turpin, Jeni (Mike) Bell, Laura (Dirk) Widdison and nine wonderful great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be held Thursday, September 28, 2017 at Larkin Sunset Gardens Cemetery in Sandy beginning at 10 AM. A viewing will be held prior at Larkin Sunset Gardens Mortuary beginning at 9:30 AM. Interment at Larkin Sunset Gardens.
