Passed away unexpectedly on November 26, 2014 with her family by her side. She was born on June 25, 1924 to William and Annie Pederson Yates. Dorothy loved SHOPPING, going to Wendover, Christmas, going to St. George, Ideals books and poetry. She has lived at Legacy Retirement Center the last 5 years, where she loved her apartment. Dorothy's grandchildren meant so much to her and she loved to be with them.
She is survived by her children Rick (Carol), Jeanette (Donnel), Diane (Chuck), Steve (Dori), and Valerie (Alan) along with her 24 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren, 20 great-great-grandchildren, 7 great-great -great-grandchildren and her brother Kenneth Yates. She is predeceased by her husband Aleck, her parents, 5 brothers and 5 sisters.
Friends and family are invited to attend a visitation on Wednesday, Dec. 3, 2014 from 10-11:30 am at Larkin Sunset Gardens, 1950 E. Dimple Dell Rd. (10600 S.) Sandy. A graveside service will follow at 12 noon at Lake Hills Cemetery, 10055 S. State St. Sandy.
