Richard Arthur Keddington

1942 ~ 2015

On May 1, 2015, surrounded and embraced by the loving hands of those who cherished and sweetly adored him the most, our special, loving, husband, father, brother, grandfather and friend, passed from his mortal body into the anxious and awaiting arms of many heavenly hosts, eager to be surrounded with his presence, and into the spiritual grace of our Heavenly Father. Dad was born January 16, 1942 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Arthur Jarvis Keddington and Mary Vennetta Muir. He graduated from Olympus High School and served in the U.S. Army National Guard. He is a member of the LDS church and served honorably in the Honolulu, Hawaii mission from January 1963 to January 1965. Upon his return, he was quickly united with his eternal sweetheart, Jane, and married for time and all eternity in the Salt Lake Temple on November 4, 1965. Dad enjoyed the mountains, camping, four wheeling and being outdoors with his family. Dad was known by many and loved by all during the many years he worked for Hostess Cake. Upon his retirement, he began working for the Canyon's School District as a Transportation Specialist. On a daily basis he would insure that many children were transported to and from school, safe and secure, while he became an endearingly close friend to many of his co-workers. During a recent absence from work, many children would constantly inquire, \"Where is Rich?" All were anxiously awaiting his return.

Go with honor Dad. Move on to that which is awaiting and be well satisfied that you successfully fulfilled our hearts and those duties for which you were here to complete. Rest in peace, free from pain, and enjoy this journey until we meet again, knowing your beautiful sweetheart will be safe and sure in the arms of your posterity. We love you.

Dad is preceded in death by his parents, A. Jarvis and Mary Keddington. He is survived by his wife, Barbara Jane Keddington and his children, Kristen (Kip), Kimberly (Warren), Richard (Veronica), Ryan (Christina), Alan (Amanda) and many beautiful grandchildren; his siblings, Robert (Sharon), Stephen (Patricia), Mary Ann (Kevin), as well as many nieces and nephews.
