Shirley Cloward Jensen, 84, loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend returned to her Father in Heaven on November 4, 2016. Shirley was born in Fountain Green, Utah to Vance Jacob Cloward and Gurtrude (Sorensen) Cloward Christensen on March 7, 1932. Shirley was a member of the Jane Jefferson Club, The Garden Club, and the Birthday Club for over 50 years. She enjoyed taking part in civic and political activities, involvement with her clubs, picnics in the canyons of Utah, and a good card game with close friends and family.
Shirley is survived by sister, Joan Longson, children Denise (Ron) Kopplinger, Doug (Mary) Jensen, Diane (Mark) Noble, Debbie (Dean) Olsen, and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Paul Fielding Jensen, whom she married in the Salt Lake Temple.
Graveside services will be held Thursday, November 10, 2016 at 1:30 p.m. at Larkin Sunset Gardens Cemetery, 1950 East Dimple Dell Road (10600 South), Sandy, Utah. A visitation will be held from 12:00-1:30 p.m prior to services and friends and family unable to attend are welcomed to call to express condolences during that time as well.
