Lois Hymas Caldwell beloved wife, mother and grandmother returned to her Heavenly Father on February 16, 2015 surrounded by her loving family. Lois was born on July 17, 1925 in Lanark, Idaho; a daughter of Ernest and Elnora Hymas. She was one of eight children. After moving to Salt Lake City, she earned her cosmetology license and worked as a beautician. On November 27, 1946 she married her high school sweetheart, Grant Caldwell in the Salt Lake City temple. They had three daughters Kathie, Tammie and Jana. The happiest days of her life were centered around her family. She found great joy and pride attending to her beautiful home and garden. She was an amazing cook and homemaker. She loved the days spent with her family at Bear Lake. The family will miss her sense of humor and strong spirit. She took on the roll of matriarch after our father's passing and was such a positive influence in all of our lives.
Lois is survived by her three daughters, Kathie Caldwell, Tammie Workman (Randy), Jana Hughes (Randy), eleven grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and her two beloved dogs. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Grant and her four brothers and three sisters.

A funeral service will be held Saturday, February 21, 2015 at 11:00 AM at the Larkin Sunset Lawn Mortuary (2350 E. 1300 S.). The family will meet friends prior to services from 9:30 to 10:45 AM at Larkin's. Interment will be in the Larkin Sunset Lawn Cemetery.
