Sam Welch died suddenly on March 15, 2014 in Seattle, WA. He was born on January 25, 1990 in Cincinnati, OH to Michael and Shari Welch. Sam attended St. Vincent's school and Judge Memorial Catholic High School, where he played lacrosse. He graduated from Seattle University with a business degree in 2013, and worked at Boeing International. Sam was known for his sense of humor and quick wit. He could lighten a room and bring levity to the most uncomfortable situations. He was always happy in the midst of his many friends, whether in a group of twenty or with a few friends on the sofa (with his beloved little dogs). He made everyone smile and his companionship will be truly missed. He will always be in the hearts of those who loved him.
Sam is survived by his mother, Shari; his father, Michael; and his sister, Emma.
A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, March 21, 2014 at 4:30 pm at St. Thomas More Catholic Church, 3015 Creek Road, Salt Lake City, UT. Friends and family may call Thursday, March 20th from 6:00-7:30 pm at Larkin Sunset Lawn, 2350 East 1300 South, Salt Lake City. Interment will take place at a later date in Barneveld, NY. A celebration of Sam's life will follow the Funeral Mass.
