Keith Edgar Montague, 93, died peacefully on January 2, 2015 in Salt Lake City, Utah, where he had lived throughout his life.
He was born February 1, 1921 to Edgar F. and Rachel Petersen Montague in Salt Lake City. He married his sweetheart Emma Elizabeth Snow on January 16, 1943.
Keith was always the consummate gentleman ‚ and he remained extraordinarily kind and thoughtful throughout his life. He was adored by his family, loved by his friends and admired by all who knew him. His lifetime achievements were stellar and extensive, but his final request was for a simple statement of his passing.
The family wishes to thank the amazing staff at Emeritus of Salt Lake City for the friendship and support they gave Keith and our family during the past three years.
He is survived by three children: Christopher (Liz), Leslie (Kim Thomas) and Douglas (Latecia). A third son, Jeffrey (Annina Mitchell), died of cancer in 1990.
Keith was blessed with eight wonderful grandchildren: Annie, Christopher, Daniel, Emily, Jamie, Jeffrey, Rachel, Tyler and great grandchildren Tessa and Hadley.
