Daniel Albert Miller

1943 ~ 2019

Daniel Albert Miller was born on July 15, 1943, in Murray, Utah to Ellen and Paul V Miller. Dan passed away at his home on February 18, 2019 in Taylorsville, Utah from complications associated with acute leukemia.

Dan spent most of his childhood in Midvale, Utah and graduated from Jordan High School in 1961. Dan was always a very hard worker and even managed to earn a business degree while working at two full time jobs. He married the love of his life, Delores Martinez on December 4, 1970. Dan and Dee were over the moon with joy when their daughter Molly joined their happy family in 1985. Delores suffered with lifelong health difficulties and Dan lovingly cared for her until her passing in 1993.

Dan was always known as the guy with the cleanest and coolest cars and he carried on with that hobby throughout his entire life. Dan enjoyed collecting and showing vintage cars and won many awards. He was most proud of his beautiful 1970 "Miller" Monte Carlo. Dan was employed at National Filter Media as Plant Manager and was affectionately known as "Mr. Dan" by his adoring employees. After retirement, he then embarked on the most rewarding job of his life when he became a devoted grandpa and caregiver extraordinaire to his grandsons Kaiden and Kaleb Wells. They were the light of his life and he then spent his remaining years making precious memories with the Wells family. To know Dan was to love him and the world was a certainly a much kinder and gentler place with him here.

Dan will be greeted in Heaven by his parents, wife, sisters Pauleen Hardcastle and LaRae Bowers, two infant brothers and other treasured family members. He is survived by his cherished daughter and son in law, Molly and Jason Wells along with his beloved grandsons, Kaiden and Kaleb. Dan also leaves behind many loving nieces and nephews, along with other extended family and friends as well as his faithful feline companion Tabitha.

The family wishes to express their heartfelt gratitude to Dan's amazing niece, Staci Johnson, who has so lovingly cared for Dan during his many health trials over the last 10 years.
