Alexander Gene Williams

2015 ~ 2015

Our brave Xander Gene was born on the afternoon of July 12th with Polycystic Kidney Disease. The medical staff at University Hospital were aware of his condition, and they did everything within their power to care for our son. Under most circumstances, Polycystic Kidney Disease is known to take the lives of infants almost immediately after birth. Alexander miraculously beat the odds by fighting to stay with us on Earth for five whole days. He was visited by concerned friends and loving family members almost constantly while he was in the Newborn Intensive Care Unit. Nearly everyone got the chance to hold him, and give his feet gentle tickles while he slept peacefully. His nurses helped him with craft projects, including making prints of his hands and feet. Every night they could manage, his parents, Vincent and Veronica Williams, would read Xander bedtime stories. His favorite book was The Laughing Dragon by Kenneth Mahood. Alexander is survived by his parents, Vincent and Veronica, his grandparents Cindy Winter, Wayne Williams, Greg Winter, and John Cleary. His grandmother, Paula Cleary, was patiently awaiting Xander in the Kingdom of Heaven. Graveside services will be held at Murray Cemetery on Tuesday, July 21st at 2:00 PM located at 5490 S Vine St, Murray, UT. He will be buried in between his Great Great Grandparents.
