With his family at his side, Matt passed away peacefully due to complications from cancer on Oct. 27, 2014, in Salt Lake City, Utah. He was born Feb. 27, 1984, to Jimmy Richins and Cecelia Richins in Murray, Utah. Matt loved his family and friends, the outdoors, the beach and was a true sports fan.
Matt is survived by his father Jimmy, mother Cecelia, sister Melissa (Sean) Burwell, brother Sean, sister Kayla, beloved nieces and nephew, aunts and uncles and many other cherished relatives and friends.
Graveside services will be Saturday, Nov. 1, 2 p.m., at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, 275 U Street. Friends may call Saturday between 12:30-1:45 at Larkin Mortuary, 260 E. South Temple.
