Howard Frandsen

Howard Frandsen, son of James Ernest and Florence Harmer Frandsen was born 9 Dec 1917, Salina, Sevier County Utah. He died 29 Sept 2013 in Salt Lake City, Utah. Educated in Utah public schools, the University of Utah and Brigham Young University, graduating in 1964 in Business Administration and Engineering. Served two years in the U.S. Army in World War II stationed in New Guinea and the Philippine Islands serving in the Signal Corps. Employed by Douglas Aircraft Co., Remington Arms Co., and for 39 years, by Waterworks Equipment Co. of Salt Lake City where he filled various positions including Sr. Design Engineer and General Manager, retiring in 1983. Married Erma Schow, 27 Sept. 1939 in Salt Lake L.D.S. Temple. He was active in many ward and stake positions, also serving as a counselor in three bishoprics and as a bishop. He and Erma served a Temple Mission in the Washington D.C. Temple where he was called and served as a Temple Sealer. Served many of his later years as a volunteer for the L.D.S. Church.

Survived by his wife, Erma, children: Kathleen Wadley, Barbara Anne Snell, and Scott Howard Frandsen, 9 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren. Preceeded in death by sisters, Helen Frandsen, Lois Smythe, and Ferne Anderson, and brother, Richard Frandsen.

There will be a private family service with interment in the Salt Lake City Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please remember the L.D.S Perpetual Education Fund.
