Cierra Nicole Curtis

1995 ~ 2019

It is with tender hearts and cherished memories that we celebrate the life of our girl, Cierra Nicole Curtis, who died unexpectedly Sunday, September 22, 2019. Cierra was our oldest daughter, a beauty, who loved dreaming, and believed in a little Disney magic and fairytale. If she could have moved into Cinderella's castle she would have.

Born January 26, 1995, Cierra grew up in the foothills of the Rocky Mountains. Her loving home included her parents, her sister Saige and her brother Canyon. Cierra was raised a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She attended Granite Elementary School and Brighton High School. She continued her education and attended the University of Utah where she proudly graduated last spring with a degree in Psychology and Criminology. She loved her job at Changes Counseling, where she knew her service and her devotion for caring and helping others assisted and changed those at the center.

Cierra enjoyed the outdoors and adventuring. She absolutely loved the mountains and skiing. You could also catch her by a lake, biking, or enjoying many sunny days at the beach. Cierra had an equal love of Disney and of travel. She was the reigning champion of all Disney trivia and her "just around the river bend" mantra and perspective were contagious. She loved seeing the world and her travels took her many places around the globe from Thailand to Greece and everywhere in between. Cierra also loved music, had an amazing singing voice and was talented at writing songs. She dabbled in and loved to paint. Cierra was an incredible conversationalist and could spark conversation with anyone in the room. She was impulsively spontaneous and wasn't afraid of living life to the fullest - which she always did. Her 24 years was just her beginning.

Cierra, we will miss you so, so deeply. We hope to "see" you often in our everyday, and please know, you will always be our forever girl.

Cierra is survived and loved by her devoted parents, Randy and Dianne Curtis. Her two siblings, Saige McKell Curtis and Canyon Romney Curtis. Her grandparents, LaNon and Dean Turley. She was cheered on through life by her aunts and uncles, Doug (Kennie) Romney, Susan (Scott) Wagner, Janice Romney, Sharon (Clay) Morgan, Steven (Silvia) Romney, Marsha (Brent) Beuchert, Cheryl (and the late John) Belnap and Eric Burleigh. She also loved her many friends and cousins and was often found in tandem with her cousin and good friend Jade. She was preceded in death by her grandfather Maxel Romney, grandmother Kathy Burleigh, her Uncle John Belnap and her cousin Max whom we know welcomed her home.

"If there ever comes a day when we can't be together, keep me in your heart, I'll stay there forever."
