Susan Kay Haggerty, 61, passed away April 03, 2016 in Salt Lake City.
She was born March 26, 1955 in Danville, Illinois. to Charles E. and Beth L. Haggerty. She spent her elementary and high school in Bismarck, Illinois moving on to attend Brigham Young University for two years. She furthered her professional education by earning a nursing license from Lakeview Memorial Hospital in Danville, Illinois. After a year of working under her nursing license, she earned a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing at the University of Utah. Her degrees led her to employment at the University Of Utah Medical Center NICU. Susan was a very giving person both professionally and personally this was shown through many acts of kindness to family and friends. She continually tried to improve herself through continuing her education on many subjects. Susan had a strong testimony and commitment to the LDS church.
She is survived by her brothers David(Virginia), Larry(Diana) and John(Jerilee) and many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her parents Charles and Beth Haggerty, her stepmom Lenore, and her sister JoAnn H. Taylor.
Services will be held Friday, April 08 at 11:00 a.m. at LDS First Ward 760 East 700 South, SLC. A viewing will be held from 9:30 a.m. ‚ 10:45 a.m. at the ward on the day of services. Interment at Lehi City Cemetery.
