Marjorie Martin Angell

1930 ~ 2018

After a lifetime of family, friendship, love and laughter, our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, Marjorie M. Angell passed away peacefully on March 27, 2018 in West Jordan, Utah. Marjorie was born February 8, 1930 in Salt Lake City to Frank Edward Martin and Marvel Fedora Martin.

Marjorie graduated from South High School. On July 27, 1956 she married the love of her life Sheldon L. Angell. They celebrated 59 years of marriage before Sheldon passed away in 2016.

She was very intelligent and loved reading, traveling, cooking, and spending time with her family. She especially loved children, with whom she shared a special bond, and her happiest moments were spent with them. Her hobbies included camping, bowling, square dancing, and card games. She will be remembered for her loving, life-long relationships, and generosity. She was a dedicated member of the LDS church and served in many callings.

Words are inadequate to express the sorrow we feel at her passing. Vacations, holidays, and family gatherings will not be the same without her. Her light is gone, but it will shine on through us as we strive to live by following her example of love, compassion, and dignity in the face of adversity.

Marjorie will be missed by daughter-in-law, Diane McNeil, sons Craig McNeil, Kent (Holly) Angell, Douglas (Carolyn) Angell, Scott (Judy) Angell, daughter JoAnn (Darren) Green, brother, Edward (Marilyn) Martin, 17 grandchildren, and 15 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death and will be reunited with her husband, Sheldon, son, Michael, parents and siblings, Frank Martin, June Clark, Donald Martin, Kenneth Martin, and Richard Martin.

A viewing will be held on Friday, March 30, 2018 from 6:00 ‚ 8:00 p.m. at Larkin Sunset Gardens Mortuary, 1950 E. Dimple Dell Rd., Sandy, Utah. The funeral will be Saturday, March 31, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. with a viewing one-hour prior at the same location. Online condolences: www.larkincares.com
