  • Les Elijah Lamb, our beloved husband, father, brother, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend, passed to the other side on July 8, 2020 at the age of 83. He was born to Verald V. Lamb and Florence Price on December 15, 1936.

Les was a family man and always kept in touch with his loved ones. His strong will to live for the love of his family kept him with us beyond our expectation, and for this we are grateful. He was a friend to all he associated with and was such a loving man to everyone he met. It seemed anywhere he went there was someone he knew. He had a wonderful sense of humor and kept nurses and doctors laughing. He was well-known as a pleasant patient and was always welcome with love by those taking care of him.

Les was a graduate of the Jordan High School Beetdiggers. Les worked and eventually retired from the Kennecott Copper Mine, where he drove a huge haulage truck. We have fond memories of going to the mine for an unguided tour and collecting fool’s gold. This was before the fenced visitor center. He worked graveyard shift without complaint, so he could be available for his wife and children during the day. Another testament to how much his family meant to him.

Les is survived by his loving wife, Jane K. Lamb, daughter Cynthia Hendrickson (Dave), son Scott Poll (Penny), son Jacob Poll, daughter Marcelle Smith, son James Poll (Blythe), daughter Debbie Hood (Dave), brother Eugene Lamb, sister Bea Lamb, sister/cousin Maxine Condie, Christensen, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and other family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, his daughter Jeanette, and his Lamb brothers: Dal, Tim, Ken, Ross, and Paul Condie (bother/cousin).

The funeral will be held on at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 14, 2020 at the Hillcrest 9th Ward, 915 East 9045 South, Sandy, UT. A visitation will be held from 12:00 - 12:45 pm prior to the services

Due to the current pandemic, spatial distancing and masks will be required.
