Lance Michael Jordan

1969 ~ 2016

Lance Michael Jordan, beloved father, grandfather and friend passed away on February 11th, 2016 at the age of 46. He was born on October 28th, 1969 to Janet Atkinson and Michael Jordan in Sandy, Utah.

Though Lance\s life was punctuated with struggles, he remained resilient. He faced challenge with a huge grin and a goofy laugh. Those who had the pleasure of knowing Lance were fortunate to witness his selfless nature and enormous heart. He always put others before himself and would stop at nothing to make sure those around him were taken care of. He had genuine warmth for all people, regardless of their background. He had an uncanny ability to make friends with every single person he encountered and touched many lives.

Lance came into this world with an incredible artistic talent. He had beautiful penmanship and an incredible ability to draw stunning images. He expressed his love of art through constant sketching and tattooing. Though his love of art was strong, nothing could compete with the love Lance had for his children.

Lance\s pride and joy in this world were his children. He would boast about them to anyone willing to listen. He took every single opportunity he had to let them know how deep his love for them was and just how proud he was of their accomplishments. In recent years, he was thrilled to be \"Papa\" to four beautiful grandchildren. He treasured any opportunity he had to spend time with his grandbabies and loved to make them laugh.

Lance is survived by his children, Jalice Jordan, Beau Jordan, Tyler Jordan, and Halee Jordan; his stepchildren Ashley Goddard, Amanda Hardy, and Carl Hardy; his grandchildren, Isaac Jordan, Elijah Jordan, Skylee Jordan, and Owen Thomson; and his brother, Tracy Jordan. He is preceded in death by his parents, Michael and Janet.

A visitation will be held onWednesday, February 17th,6-8 pm. Funeral services will be held onThursday, Feb. 18, 2016 at 11:00 am, with a visitation one hour prior to the service. All services will be held at Larkin Sunset Gardens, 1950 E. 10600 S. Sandy, Utah. A private burial will be held by the family at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to his children to assist with funeral costs.
