Robert Peterson

1922 ~ 2015

Robert Gordon Peterson, beloved husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather passed away too quickly on February 8, 2015 in Salt Lake City.

Bob was born March 5, 1922 in Pocatello, Idaho to Emanuel Brigham and Valerie Renberg Peterson. He also lived in Butte, Montana before settling in Salt Lake City. He attended East High School and was a graduate of the University of Utah. Following in his father's footsteps, he made a lifetime career with business machines and office equipment. Bob had a quick wit and keen intelligence and knew something about everything. His special talent and gift was to make everyone feel special.

Bob married the love of his life, Virginia Isakson Peterson on November 16, 1950 in the Salt Lake Temple. Bob and Ginna were a "power couple" loving life to the fullest and always helping others. Together they belonged to Dinner Set. He also enjoyed Timpanogos Club. He played tennis, golf, enjoyed anything related to the U of U and loved gardening and reading.

Three children blessed their lives and brought them their greatest joy. Dr.Robert Gordon Peterson ll (Janet Reiten), Ann Pehrson (Douglas), and Karen Andrews (Jamie). Additional joys were 7 grandchildren: Nicholas Peterson, Connor Pehrson (Cheryl), Steven Pehrson (Marjie), Laura Jane Pehrson, Cortland Andrews (Mary Ann), Tyson (Amber), and Caitlin Perotti (Tom) and 8 great grandchildren.

Bob is survived by his wife and children, sister, Adele Peterson Tingey, sister-in-law, Lorene Isakson Alder. He is preceded in death by brother-in-laws: Allen Tingey, Horace Alder and Wilford Barker Isakson.

His memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 14, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. with a visitation held on both Friday, February 13thfrom5:30 ‚ 7:30 p.m.and alsoSaturday, February 14th from 9:00 ‚ 10:45 a.m.at the Foothill 2ndWard building located at 1933 South 2100 East, SLC, UT.
