Lillian Virginia Ofgreen Eckles

1923 ~ 2014

Lillian Virginia Ofgreen Eckles peacefully passed away on June 10, 2014 from natural causes, with family by her side. She was born July 22, 1923 to Adolph Severin Ofgreen and Ragnhild Pettersen in Salt Lake City, Utah. She graduated from Granite High School. Her favorite job was working for the Presiding Bishopric\s Office. She was married in the Salt Lake Temple to her sweetheart William Franklin Eckles, on January 15, 1948. They were blessed with six children. She was a devoted wife and mother. Lillian was a faithful member of the LDS church and served in many callings.

She was preceded in death by her husband and sister, Violet (Fred) Stoker. She is survived by her children, Nancy (Lynn) Thomas, Steven (Liz) Eckles, Elaine (Rourke) McDermott, Peggy (Monte) West, Janet (Glen) Worthington, Karen (Lloyd) Bethers, 26 Grandchildren, 47 Great-grandchildren, and sister, Pearl (Keith) Scoville.

Funeral Services will be held at 12:00 noon, on Monday June 16, 2014 at the Gregson Ward LDS Chapel on 3153 South 900 East where a viewing will be held for family and friends 10:00 a.m. to 11:45 a.m., prior to the services. Interment at Larkin Sunset Gardens, 1950 East 10600 South.
