Bryan Max Mumford

1941 ~ 2020

Bryan Max Mumford passed away January 25, 2020 at his home, surrounded by his family. He was born November 25, 1941 in Murray, Utah to Max Aldon Mumford and Emeline Grant Mumford. Married Pauline Mertlich February 6, 1963 in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Bryan co-owned M & M Meat Company for over 60 years and retired in 2004. He loved golf and spending time with his family on Glenmoor Golf Course where his parents lived for many years. Bryan loved riding motorcycles and owned one for most of his life. He was a handy man and loved fixing things. He helped both his children and spouses with building and remodeling their homes. In his retirement he traveled to visit his daughter, Lori and husband Bret in California and spent many hours flying with Bret (a private pilot) which he loved. Bryan was a family man and always put family first. His son Erik and wife Barbara lived down the street and he loved having them close by. He loved his grandkids Kayla, Alek and Amelia. In his retirement he spent many summers with Kayla and Alek golfing and adventuring which he was always game to do. He was such a loving Papa and his grandkids adored him. When diagnosed with prostate cancer, his son Erik, became his biggest cheerleader and helped him through many tough operations and kept him going for over 6 years. Most importantly, he had a loving marriage with his wife that lasted 56 years. They were best friends and she will miss him very much.

Bryan is survived by: Wife Pauline Mumford, Daughter Lori Mumford Good, Son-in-law Bret Good and Granddaughter Amelia Lucy Good, Son Erik Max Mumford, Daughter-in-law Barbara Mumford and Grandkids Kayla Mumford and Alek Mumford. Sister Dianne Mumford Jensen, Brother James Grant Mumford.

Bryan was preceded in death by his parents Max and Emeline Mumford.

No services will be held as Bryan requested that his family have a private service only.
