Patrecia Lee Smith left this mortal life for the beauty of Heaven on July 27, 2016. She is excited to see her parents Pam (Gladys McDonald Smith) and Pal (Benjamin H. Smith Jr.), her brothers Ben and Greg, who both passed in May of this year, and her 6 little dogs whom she missed terribly. She leaves numerous close friends: Sharlene, Marsha, Fran, Glen, Craig and Tiffany, Ray and Gwen, Cassidy and special cousin Helen, her God brother Dale Elton and her very special Goddaughter Nancy and her husband Charlie.
Pat attended East High, Westminister College and The University of Utah. She graduated from the Police Academy in 1973. She retired after 25 years of service as a detective with the Salt Lake City Police Department where she earned numerous awards for her actions. She truly loved to be helpful to all.
After retirement, Pat continued her hobbies of carving, painting, working with clay and doing puzzles, as her health permitted.
In addition to those already named Pat is lovingly survived by her sister in law Nickie Smith, 3 nephews, Ben Smith IV (Lee), Michael Smith (Suzette) and David Smith (Suzanne), 2 nieces, Sheryl Smith and Kim Silvey and their families.
Per Pat's express wishes, there will be no service. If you choose to send a remembrance please consider donating to the charity nearest and dearest to her heart, Best Friends Animal Sanctuary in Kanab, Utah.
