Gerald Wayne Worthen passed away on Saturday, October 4, 2014 from complications due to a fall. He married his one true love on April 22, 1953 and they were blessed to be together for 54 years. He was sincerely loved by all who knew him. A deep expression of gratitude is given to Legacy House of Taylorsville for their unwavering love and dedication to his tender care the last few years of his life. He was preceded in death by his beautiful wife LaRae Kartchner, his parents Charles Wayne and Margaret Hazel Perleywits Worthen and his oldest son Gregory Wayne Worthen. He is survived by his brother Howard Gene Worthen, his children Steven Kay (Carolyn), Cathy Zesiger (Dale), Lisa Becerra (Juan), and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held in his honor on Tuesday, October 7, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. at the Larkin Sunset Gardens Cemetery, 1950 East Dimple Dell Road (10600 South), Sandy, Utah. Friends and family are invited to a viewing which will take place from 12:00 ‚ 12:45 p.m. prior to services at the Larkin Sunset Gardens Mortuary.
