Spencer C. Whitney

1932 ~ 2014

Spence, our favorite cowboy, enjoyed 82 years living life to its fullest.

He was lucky enough to marry his high school sweetheart, Connie Christopulos. They soon found themselves raising 4 children: Spencer III, (1952-2007); Bob (Bobbie); J.D.; and Diane (Bill Green). His passions for skiing, hunting, horseback riding and golfing were surpassed only by his complete love for family and friends.

This connection to the great out of doors was shared with all his ski patrol, fishing, hunting and horseback riding buddies and carried on in family activities - Lake Powell, Bear Lake and Park City to name a few.

A terrific and generous host whose BBQ skills were enjoyed by all who knew him, Spence was a lively entertainer with a sharp wit who loved storytelling, laughing and goofing around with his grandkids (Ryan, Nate, Annie, Parker, Alexander and Whitney). His talents and generous spirit live on and are certain to be passed down (9 great grandchildren and counting!).

A celebration of Spence's life will be held on Saturday, December 6 at Larkin Mortuary 260 E. South Temple. Family will receive friends from 10:30 AM ‚ 12:00 PM. The celebration of life program will start at noon.

In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to your favorite charity.
